The Combined Aircrew Systems Tester (CAST) was designed to test the components of the COMBAT EDGE ensemble, integrating several required items of test equipment into a single, portable, rugged, self contained test unit.

The Scot Communications and Oxygen Tester (SCOT) performs tasks traditionally requiring various types of test equipment can now be completed quicker, more economically and with the highest degree of reliability.
The Parachute Release Tester performs tasks traditionally requiring various types of test equipment can now be completed quicker, more economically and with the highest degree of reliability.
    

The Joint Aircrew Combined System Tester (JCAST) is a self-contained, portable tester, eliminating the need for multiple pieces of euipment to test aircrew flight equipment.  It provides mission critical data collection for complete system verification.  It will reduce life-cycle ownership cost by accurately and effectively performing trend analysis, which is necessary for purchasing equipment and replacement parts.
