Fuze Components and LAP

CED is the preeminent supplier of high volume components used on numerous fuze assemblies in use throughout the US Department of Defense and world-wide militaries. These devices are most often portions of the fuze explosive train, such as Leads, Boosters, Detonators, Delays, Piston Actuators, and Primers. These devices are primarily produced on automated equipment, though some manual production lines exist for low volume components. The automated equipment ensures both personnel safety and allows for efficient increase to large scale production volumes required for many programs. These devices contain with very sensitive primary explosives which can be hazardous to assemble by hand.

In addition to the manufacture of the explosive components of a Fuze assembly, CED has also demonstrated expertise in Load, Assembly, and Pack of numerous fuzes, such as:
