Aurora
The Aurora/Missile Plume Simulator provides the user with an unique training tool to engage aircraft with missile plume launch effects of Electro-Optical Infrared (EO/IR) missile which pose a significant threat due to increasing proliferation. The Aurora/MPS can be used either on or off post to provide enhanced home station training for Air Defense Screens, Air Defense Umbrellas and is also used as an add-on subsystem to Man Portable Air Defense (MANPAD), Automated Scripter Simulator Exercise Trainer (ASSET) and other missile site applications. Aircraft equipped with a Missile Warning System (MWS) or Missile Approach Warning (MAW) system will receive a cockpit generated, LAUNCH….LAUNCH warning with automated counter measures dispensing upon initiation of the Aurora/MPS system.
